I became a daughter in law, a sister in law, and a wife all in one day.<br />
I went from being a Holder to becoming an Olson with the simplicity of two words" I Do."<br />
It couldn't have been a more perfect day.<br />
Thank you Jesus, for my wonderful husband.<br />

WOW...seemed like a long time coming but in reality i look back and think Where did this school year go? So thankful that God has blessed me with my job again next year. I am beyond excited and thankful that I will get to teach Pre-K at Walnut Grove again. The staff there is like family to me. I am looking forward to some time off to get my couponing going, finish some scrapbooking up that I'm a year behind on and spending quality time with my husband. I will hopefully be updating with some new crafts soon. I have discovered vinyl and iron ons for my cricut. Who knows what I'll get into this summer! :)acraftyqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295525349467040171noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301877267113173102.post-68860567765675181162011-04-09T07:54:00.000-05:002011-04-09T07:54:55.467-05:00Wedding DayWell, its 7:20 am. I've been awake since about 6 this morning. The excitement was killing me. My tummy has the nervous butterflies. :) but they are good nervous butterflies. As I sit here, my mind is a whirl wind of emotions and thoughts, do i have this, did i pack that, what's he going to think whne he sees me, how will the day go? The worry wart part of me is finally coming out and i think its because im sitting here with nothing to do. Chris and I have been beyond busy the past 3 months of our engagement, so busy that we're completely pooped out. This vacation starting tomorrow could not come at any better time. It's hard to believe that this whole engagment time period is over today. Today i change from a fiance to a wife. I gain a mother & father in law and a sister and brother in law! I could not be more excited! My life is about to make a drastic change at 4:00 this afternoon.<br />
<br />
This week has flown by. I dont know where it went. Everyone told me that this week would fly. Little did I know they were right. Before I knew it it was 11:00 Wednesday and my Spring Break had begun. It's all spiraled from there. Thursday morning we thought that the groomsmen tuxes had been ordered wrong. in the mist of that stress, we found out that they were correct. On top of that my boss called that morning and asked me to come back as the Pre-K teacher next year at Walnut Grove. I was beyond elated! She gave me one of the best wedding presents ever. Chris and I can now go on vacation/honeymoon without any worries. We can RELAX. God is so good and has blessed Chris and I so much throughout the past 2 months. Thursday flew by and before I knew it we had our marriage lisence and were headed to the church for rehearsal. I think rehearsal was when it really hit me that this is all real. However i still feel like im in a dream. As I was standing back there watching my girls walk down the isle I couldn't believe that I was the one walking to the man standing on the center of the stage. ME, ME...it's me as the bride this time. IT's so crazy! I just can't fathom it! It's crazy! Rehearsal dinner was amazing. It was nice to rekindle the feelings from our first date sitiingon the patio at PF CHANGS. Jenny and Rick gave us the most special night a couple could ask for. Yesterday went by fast too. I got to spend some time with my aunt who I haven't seen in 5 years. Chris went out golfing and then did some wedding things. Before we knew it ALL my family was in town and we were having a big family dinner at my house. It's all here....the big plans we've been planning for 9 months are here. <br />
<br />
Last night was a late night. chris and I made sure we had EVERY detail done and everything packed. I was a nervous wreck konwing that when he left he took my BIG luggage bag with him. I always get nervous when my clothes and shoes are taken away. I always think I've forgotten something. I've checked and rechecked so hopefully we've not overlooked anything! This morning I woke up early. Naturally. I knew i couldnt sleep in! :) I got up and did my workout. It let out some stress, and i sweated those last extra jiggles off ;) so I can be sure and fit in that dress today! I had an extra hour and 45 min this morning to just sit and take it all in. Enjoy the house here in it's last few hours to myself and think and pray about the day ahead. I've held all my tears in until now. As I'm sitting here typing this my emotions are starting to come over me. Just such a happy, excited emotion! <br />
<br />
I can't wait to see Chris today. He is my gift from God. I can't wait to start a life with him as his wife. Today is the beginning of a new chapter in life, a chapter as Mrs. Christopher Olson (Elizabeth Holder Olson). It's time to get the show on the road......acraftyqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295525349467040171noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301877267113173102.post-11931935867660730642011-03-24T11:16:00.000-05:002011-03-24T11:16:01.783-05:00Ashley's Big 21!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdoS3ae19Zs88GmA8xhbkbYzxsowehD-NZ55VRd42t37jwid1ZtzLSa5Tr7cDKhMfMaQZl0PTLm3YiQMY-2FTT7vUd9DIrk3Rdar_aWgqoSU2IOClQb_jlc9C4H_Yjc5oTiVFQ7htKM5X4/s1600/IMG_1673.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdoS3ae19Zs88GmA8xhbkbYzxsowehD-NZ55VRd42t37jwid1ZtzLSa5Tr7cDKhMfMaQZl0PTLm3YiQMY-2FTT7vUd9DIrk3Rdar_aWgqoSU2IOClQb_jlc9C4H_Yjc5oTiVFQ7htKM5X4/s320/IMG_1673.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />

Ashley and I always have so much fun when we get together for our birthdays! We ALWAYS celebrate with dinner at Rosies. Cheese Dip, Mango Margaritas, Chicken Enchiladas & Birthday Sopapillas! :) doesn't get much better than that. For this layout I found ribbon confetti paper at hobby lobby. I then bought plain yellow & purple paper to match for bordering the pictures and for cutting out the letters. I matched the stickers to the background paper and to ashley's shirt! I was lucky that I found everything to match! The layout design was pretty simple, but i think it turned out great. I used the Cricut to cut out the title and just added stickers in stead of journaling. I knew if I blogged about it I would remember what we did! :) How can you forget tradition?!acraftyqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295525349467040171noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301877267113173102.post-65394821340120192522011-03-24T09:22:00.000-05:002011-03-24T09:22:15.640-05:00Take me Out to the Ballgame<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIu0UgP74rCgSeOS-NJ5oOM-bT5oVJ3MQDZF17JQB8SYgVpGbdyPIVYzMoY9BADNDGzusiIRL9jXWj3gaFxa8LGDKlzc0SnkJ9B6BhFwF18IYrYE_MGqntPz5YNXXxe8Wkcuv4j74QMq1N/s1600/IMG_1671.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIu0UgP74rCgSeOS-NJ5oOM-bT5oVJ3MQDZF17JQB8SYgVpGbdyPIVYzMoY9BADNDGzusiIRL9jXWj3gaFxa8LGDKlzc0SnkJ9B6BhFwF18IYrYE_MGqntPz5YNXXxe8Wkcuv4j74QMq1N/s320/IMG_1671.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I actually got this neat layout in Nashville at the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook convention 2 years ago. I bought it for other reasons but it turned out to be GREAT for Garrett's ball pictures! He did so awsome this year in ball. The pictures just fit underneath the cutouts. It took me about 5 minutes to put this together. Can we say EASY? :)</div><br />

Where has the time gone. This is probably one of my most favorite layouts. I purchased this from <a href="http://www.lottstoscrapabout.com/">Lott's to Scrap About</a> one of my ABSOLUTE favorite 12x12 page kit places. The kits come with all the materials and you put them together to fit your pictures. They're very reasonably priced as well! its the best for scrapbookers without a lot of time! This was our first Christmas together and was one of the most special ones. They always say if you survive the holidays, you'll be able to survive anything. I'm sitting in here at the urgent medicare clinic trying to get some medicine to start making me feel better. I'm so tired of feeling bad. In addition to being sick I have so much I have to do for the wedding. As I sit here I realize I need to fix and print 150 programs, make 2 slideshows and start pulling out summerish clothes and washing & packing for A cruise. I've confirmed several big things for the wedding which makes things better some stress off my shoulders! Chris & I are anxiously awaiting our wedding in 33 days. It's hard to believe everything is so close. I've always dreamed of this day and it's almost here. All the festivities are about to take off and I couldn't be more ready! Teaching has been very rewarding lately. In the midst of my sickness my kids at work sure do make things brighter. I look forward to all of the activities that are coming with the end of the year! :)<br />God has really been at work in our life recently. Chris was blessed with a job opportunity at our wonderful church Willowbrook which he just recently heard word he got! It is such a blessing for this job change and will also be a blessing to our new marriage. I am beyond excited for Chris as he begins this journey he's prayed for for several years now. <br />I'm hoping to get back to crafting and scrapbooking soon! I have ordered several simple put together kits from my favorite website www.lottstoscrapabout.com in the past few months and I'm ready to catch up on my crafts!!! :) acraftyqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295525349467040171noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301877267113173102.post-59035882191867840552011-02-26T20:01:00.000-06:002011-02-26T20:01:09.315-06:00it's been so long... I realized the other day while attending a technology conference where a teacher showed us her blog...that I HAVE ONE TOO! Life has been extremely busy lately and a lot has happened since I posted my last blog. Scrapbooking has been put on the back burner due to planning a wedding!!! The love of my life, Chris & I got engaged July 31st, 2010! That was the happiest day of my life. All of my prayers were answered and my dreams came true that day. Chris is so special to me. There are so many things I could say about him. He is such a blessing from God. I don't know what I'd do without him in my life. I feel so honored to get to be his wife! <br />
The past 8 months have been filled with wedding planning! Meeting with caterers, shopping for bridesmaid and bridal dresses, renting tuxes, meeting with wedding decorator and doing this that and the other. The wedding process has been crazy but good too. The Lord has really blessed us throughout this whole process and I can't believe the wedding almost here. It's neat to see everything start to come together. I can't wait to see it all on April 9th! Along with the excitement of the wedding comes the stress of a wedding. Unfortunately, the stresses of the wedding have caused me to be sick on & off for the past 3 weeks. I'm now battling bronchitis. Yuck. So ready for a vacation & a honeymoon!<br />
I haven't had much time to scrapbook lately. Nor have I had much time to do any cutesy crafty things. I hope to start scrapbooking again after the wedding is over and things are getting settled. Ashley and I had a scrapbooking day a few weeks ago but I was sick so I didn't get much done. With all the bridal showers and tea's I'm getting behind quickly. I am looking forward to using the Cricut Expression that Chris got me at Christmas. My sister-in-law is having a baby....so I get to make cute invitations this summer for it! :) <br />
Teaching Pre-K this year has been awesome as well. I am so blessed to be able to take care of my 22 kids each and everyday. They make my life happier. Each day I go to work I am reminded of how blessed I am and that I've chosen the right profession in life. They are the sunshine in my day! I hope all of my children emjoy my classroom and that they have learned a lot this year. I sure will miss them when they graduate to Kindergarten!<br />
Last month Chris & I bought a house. We love our little home. God blessed us with this home. It's the perfect size for us two! I can't wait to decorate it over the next few years and get settled as Mr. & Mrs. in it! :)acraftyqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295525349467040171noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301877267113173102.post-59175531162826178242010-10-23T16:28:00.001-05:002010-10-23T16:28:10.923-05:00christmas card<div class="sflyProductPreviewWidget" style="width:425px; height:494px;"><div class="sflyProductPreviewWidgetTop" style="height:6px; background-image:url(http://cdn.staticsfly.com/img_/share/preview/msc/widget/top.gif);"></div><div class="sflyProductPreviewWidgetCenter" style="height:482px; padding: 0 6px 0 6px; background-image:url(http://cdn.staticsfly.com/img_/share/preview/msc/widget/bg.gif); background-repeat:repeat-y;"><div class="sflyProductPreviewLogo" style="width: 105px; height: 34px; padding: 14px 0 0 14px;"><img src="http://cdn.staticsfly.com/img_/share/preview/msc/widget/logo.gif"></div><div class="sflyProductPreviewContainer" style="height:350px; text-align:center; padding: 0;"><a href="http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery"><img src="http://images-community.shutterfly.com/prs/v1/0AaNnDFyzaM2Yg/0AaNnDFyzaM2YuSg/p/67b0de21b3127d902548/JPEG/1287869271000/0/"></a></div><div class="sflyProductPreviewMessageContainer" style="height:55px; background-color:#f4f4e9; text-align:center; padding: 15px 0 15px 0; line-height: 19px;"><div class="sflyProductPreviewTitle" style="font-family: arial, sans-seris; font-size: 15px; color: #333333; font-weight: bold;"><span>Little Christmas Christmas</span></div><div class="sflyProductPreviewSEOText" style="font-family: arial, sans-seris; font-size: 13px; color: #333333;"><span>Get custom <a href="http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery" style="color: #6666cc;">photo Christmas cards</a> online at Shutterfly.com.</span></div><div class="sflyProductPreviewViewCollection" style="font-family: arial, sans-seris; font-size: 13px; color: #333333;"><span>View the entire <a href="http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery" style="color: #6666cc;">collection</a> of cards.</span></div><img width="1" height="1" border="0" src="https://os.shutterfly.com/b/ss/sflyshareprod/1/H.15/111?pageName=sharekey&c1=msc&c2=blogger" /></div></div><div class="sflyProductPreviewWidgetBottom" style="height:6px; background-image:url(http://cdn.staticsfly.com/img_/share/preview/msc/widget/bottom.gif);"></div></div>acraftyqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295525349467040171noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301877267113173102.post-16846425688470632492010-05-21T17:27:00.000-05:002010-05-21T17:27:45.635-05:00Scrapbooking PalFrom a fellow scrapbooker and crafter to another, I must say I love <a href="http://www.scrapbookpal.com/">www.scrapbookingpal.com</a>. I just can't express how much I love this company's layouts. This layout is probably one of my favorite purchases. It mached my pictures fabulously! I will say...this layout was a booger to put together. It had a alot of tedious cutting and gluing. Therefore, it took a while to put together. I was so please with the final product though! Well worth my time. :)</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

It would cost me more to go buy the materials and cut everything out myself. I have purchased several layouts from them over the past few months. This is one of the layouts I ordered over Christmas. It's called "Dear Santa." I bought it because I loved the Santa on it! <div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigymK6X0ZDu_QsHUqGpdX4EVLX7loDDFyeNNidEx03xxkU7N7aUne-aKLrzUS4Ci_XrkXrgbHKsaIBBPVGlVWcCGrfs2DTOkEWmtPFe_o20NPuOqcggM08PnjRuFeE4wQkJc5HUpwAKFtE/s1600/DSC04236.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigymK6X0ZDu_QsHUqGpdX4EVLX7loDDFyeNNidEx03xxkU7N7aUne-aKLrzUS4Ci_XrkXrgbHKsaIBBPVGlVWcCGrfs2DTOkEWmtPFe_o20NPuOqcggM08PnjRuFeE4wQkJc5HUpwAKFtE/s320/DSC04236.JPG" tt="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">The layout comes pre-cut. The only thing you have to do is assemble it. What I love the most is that it comes with step by step instructions WITH A FULL COLOR FINISHED LAYOUT GUIDE. Yes, the capitol letters mean I am exicted. I can't express how essential and great that is when putting all the pieces together. The layout matched my pictures of Christmas morning with the Malones/Ancells wonderfully. :) </div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-Z6B1kVbQLkZAk2QY044_U2YTZdxpLMgTD4smratdV6vtPIY9YlEYQqSokGW5GVErtc4-g3W2NPxUsj-MOBOVJlFP7IWFP2uYjIajTIeYYv9pZY-la7PVDDah3aSnLal1YqdDmDjuJWHJ/s1600/DSC04237.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-Z6B1kVbQLkZAk2QY044_U2YTZdxpLMgTD4smratdV6vtPIY9YlEYQqSokGW5GVErtc4-g3W2NPxUsj-MOBOVJlFP7IWFP2uYjIajTIeYYv9pZY-la7PVDDah3aSnLal1YqdDmDjuJWHJ/s320/DSC04237.JPG" tt="true" width="320" /></a></div>acraftyqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295525349467040171noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301877267113173102.post-91510465943555499062010-04-28T19:31:00.000-05:002010-04-28T19:31:23.371-05:00Ashley's 21st Birthday<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCdvhJMSczG_KicOCBpDv-4hZNH-2U5utUMRW2E4mHIaPnFaEiUZ8WGP-80BP1JEsGlRqXLdtCF_ye_2jzEGKV4Z5ASKnLQWpqXKvcSoqto5rjnvI74jgaNueGJjvAyhRzfvzg6A8ByRxf/s1600/DSC04229.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCdvhJMSczG_KicOCBpDv-4hZNH-2U5utUMRW2E4mHIaPnFaEiUZ8WGP-80BP1JEsGlRqXLdtCF_ye_2jzEGKV4Z5ASKnLQWpqXKvcSoqto5rjnvI74jgaNueGJjvAyhRzfvzg6A8ByRxf/s320/DSC04229.JPG" tt="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">For my best friend Ashley's 21st Birthday we celebrated by having a scrapbook day and eating dinner at Rosie's Cantina. Rosie's has become one of our staple restaurants. We love it! This layout was fun to create. After I got my pictures developed, I went to Hobby Lobby to find coordinating paper and stickers. I ended up buying the birthday ribbon paper which I used for the background. I then bought purple and yellow cardstock to bring out the colors in the background paper and that Ashley was wearing. I found the stickers at Hobby Lobby as well. They are Paper Studios Cardstock stickers (one of my favorites). I bordered the pictures and stickers with the yellow and purple cardstock. I used my Cricut to cut out the lettering. This is one of Ashley's new font cartridges. Love it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU9a3uLQajPXLJYjtJrwTmXanZGK14JCM_yQ3I9_yVu_YsORYVv4U5RA4ej8e14kFbHDEuG3Fq2wcgRmtVFYBUeP5akkdGrvSoLLUY2uyKrj5A99iT6_-Zhb-oagw1Nx3wgnkEje10qqki/s1600/DSC04233.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU9a3uLQajPXLJYjtJrwTmXanZGK14JCM_yQ3I9_yVu_YsORYVv4U5RA4ej8e14kFbHDEuG3Fq2wcgRmtVFYBUeP5akkdGrvSoLLUY2uyKrj5A99iT6_-Zhb-oagw1Nx3wgnkEje10qqki/s320/DSC04233.JPG" tt="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Happy 21st Birthday!</div>acraftyqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295525349467040171noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301877267113173102.post-59273728871115956682010-01-29T19:09:00.002-06:002010-01-29T19:13:15.442-06:00Life Lately<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: right;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWTYA8Oo3DeXAFA0w1rRiHr99S-a6KbrYTxip8fmCvvmj_CKgFNU8uKs6CTfbaRo1hBNTJfziqwI9sNMMyTAHMkmauFxzNLTeItsVzQoWiB5_O9wyBDZL5XCHEHwUIprdl-P9R_5Z4NZvl/s1600-h/DSC04048.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; cssfloat: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" kt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWTYA8Oo3DeXAFA0w1rRiHr99S-a6KbrYTxip8fmCvvmj_CKgFNU8uKs6CTfbaRo1hBNTJfziqwI9sNMMyTAHMkmauFxzNLTeItsVzQoWiB5_O9wyBDZL5XCHEHwUIprdl-P9R_5Z4NZvl/s320/DSC04048.JPG" width="320" /></a>I noticed that I hadn't updated in a while. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Happy 4th of July! I can't believe this was 2 years ago now. It's become somewhat of a family tradition for Mom, Dad & I to go to the Huntsville Stars 4th of July baseball game. This layout was a ton of fun to put together and wound up being my favorite I created that day. I actually got the layout idea online. However, I had to tweek it a little to make it fit my pictures. I used navy cardstock as the background paper. This paper was purchased at the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbooking Convention in Nashville. I then added the fireworks paper to the top & bottom half of the page. This paper came out of a holiday paper pack purchased at Hobby Lobby. As a border to the pictures I first used star patterned paper out of the same paper pack then solid white cardstock. The stickers are PaperStudio Cardstock 4th of July themed stickers, purchased at Hobby Lobby. To finish the page off I placed the stickers accordingly.<br />

</div><div align="center">I set up the 2nd page of the layout the same way I did the first page. However, I did some journaling on this page. After I placed the stickers around the page, I cut out a white piece of cardstock just big enough to fit in between the pictures & sticker. :)<br />

Casey and I were bridesmaids in her wedding. This shower was thrown by her church and TONS of people came. Ashley received so many wonderful things to fill her new house. This layout was a little challenging for me. Partially due to the fact that I didn't buy paper that stood out from the loud background very well. However, I liked how it all turned out. I bought the pink paisly print background paper at Hobby Lobby, along with the brown/pink polka dot paper and light pink cardstock. I used my layout idea pages from my Creating Keepsakes magazine to figure out the positioning of my pictures. I alternated the border colors of the pictures and used my corner rounder to adorn the edges of the photos & their background. The bridal shower sticker was taken from a sticker pack also purchased at Hobby Lobby. The title was cut out using my Cricut. I cut out the title first using the shadow feature in light pink then again using the regular font feature in light brown. This created a layered look and made the brown lettering stand out better. <br />

</div><span style="color: white;">Every fall, my home church Locust Grove has their annual Hoedown at the Fanning Farm. It's quite an event. Everyone brings a dish to share and there's lots of hot chocolate & hot cider to pass around. They also do hayrides around the farm to enterain all the kiddos! </span><br />
<span style="color: white;">I had the idea for this layout nearly a year ago. I found the straw background paper on a random trip to Hobby Lobby & bought it hoping I could use it for this layout one day. On that same trip I found the Jolee's Boutique Hayride embellishment stickers but I decided to wait on purchasing them. I'm glad I did because I ended up finding them at half price on Ebay. Creating this page was simple. I cut out a long rectangular strip of orange cardstock, then a smaller green one, and then an even smaller brown one. I layered them and gluded them together. I bordered the pictures with a redish-orange cardstock and glued them in place. I then placed the 3D Jolee's stickers around the page. I used my Cricut to cut out the title. I cut out the title first in brown using the shadow effect. Then cut the title out again in the redish-orange paper in non-shadow font. I then glued them together creating a layered effect for the title. </span>acraftyqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295525349467040171noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301877267113173102.post-69408694334928216202010-01-07T19:36:00.000-06:002010-01-07T19:36:49.543-06:00Crimson Tide Plate<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8ShdDYMMGm0YhHBFOTp8nNzHI56etGAI9-50TBo8aAMNVSvsyg2OkQco_LiqJotiMdi_Ejm83IWd1rwlzyQK3yqtRQ-m1nwOFep52y9Rj3ZCPoyWAMnaGehvYupRF-SSk3YtB3SOGlYgI/s1600-h/DSC03935.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ps="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8ShdDYMMGm0YhHBFOTp8nNzHI56etGAI9-50TBo8aAMNVSvsyg2OkQco_LiqJotiMdi_Ejm83IWd1rwlzyQK3yqtRQ-m1nwOFep52y9Rj3ZCPoyWAMnaGehvYupRF-SSk3YtB3SOGlYgI/s400/DSC03935.JPG" /></a><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: white;">This was another one of my homemade Christmas gifts. The plate I made for my friend Ashley is similar to this plate. I made this for Chris's Mom as her Christmas present. I ordered the decal from Simply Stated Walls. I was able to order the decal in the size, font and color I wanted. Since I ordered the decal in white, I wanted to find a crimson plate to put it on. I searched all over the Huntsville area for a red platter, plate, tray etc...and had NO luck. I ended up ordering the platter from Sur La Table. When I got it in I was very concerned about the size. However, when I etched the decal onto the plate I loved it. I purchased the stand for the plate at Michaels. His Mom is a huge Alabama fan and loved the plate! It's now the centerpiece on the dining room table!</span><br />

At a stamp camp in November with my neighbor & friend, Kim Parker I learned a new stamping technique. We created candles using stamps & ink. I was so excited about the new technique I learned that I decided to use some stamps I had to make gifts. Everyone wound up enjoying their gifts. </span></span><br />

Christmas Christmas everywhere! I absolutely LOVE this time of year. I feel like it's one of my most "crafty" seasons! These 4 cards were actually created last Christmas. These cards were actually designed by Stampin' Up consultant <a href="http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/kimmyparker/">Kim Parker</a>. She had an October Stamp Camp last year to create Christmas cards. These were so fun to create. My mom even went with me! :) By far this peace on earth card was my favorite to create. The card is made from the Stampin' Up cardstock. We then used the Christmas polka dotted paper to create the background layer. We then glued a red ribbon strip in the middle of the polka dotted paper. We then gluded the darker green cardstock square in the center of the card. After that we stamped the sediment "peace on earth, goodwill toward all men" onto the light green cardstock rectangle using Stampin' Up stamp set and green ink. To create the animals we stamped our stamp into embossing glue then onto the ivory cardstock. We then put black embossing powder onto the image and dusted the excess off. Then we took our heat embossing gun and hated the powder, creating the raised glossy finish on the image. We then cut around the stamped animals and used pop-its to make the stamped image look 3D on top of the light green cardstock. Love it! </span><br /><span style="color:#006600;"></span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0ZS616w3Nr-P9jWujQbOdUk8gNFHbhb0i_GBDONqnE5dpBctBI59P73XNFScfMPBgLtoqQC8z7IaU69CNF9mqTeknJKRqXaEGqRSPko4olxaBrKIiRL6b4mAeCMFJg7jAS9jqNRGFpV7Y/s1600-h/DSC03647.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415528353431065138" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0ZS616w3Nr-P9jWujQbOdUk8gNFHbhb0i_GBDONqnE5dpBctBI59P73XNFScfMPBgLtoqQC8z7IaU69CNF9mqTeknJKRqXaEGqRSPko4olxaBrKIiRL6b4mAeCMFJg7jAS9jqNRGFpV7Y/s320/DSC03647.JPG" /></a><span style="color:#006600;">"Deck the halls with boughs of holly, fa-la-la-la la-la-la-la." This card was fun to create too! The card is made out of Stampin' Up dark green cardstock. We then took ivory colored cardstock and cut it slightly smaller than the card, to have a border. The background stamp (words) was a rolling stamp. Very neat! We rolled the stamp in Stampin' Up dark green ink, then rolled it over our ivory cardstock. Very very neat. I loved the rolling stamp so much I purchased one on Ebay! We then stamped the stocking stamp into red ink and onto ivory cardstock and cut around it. Kim then had us punch a little hole in the stocking to tie twine in it. Before attaching our stocking to the card, we tied green ribbon into a bow in the center of the card. Then we tied our twine (with the stocking) in the middle of the ribbon. SO cute!</span><br /><div></div><div></div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiW1jOXxWY1DJgv-_aQZMewqHclPhrl1BHxR4cHdasg5HKTGLH4iXLGlDktmenrlfjtXgTft2gNE5NVyICMuJ3bifxoiK8pWXauWMiRQilYMTQ01W9qnbCpisVlXcBlwNfqsKew5SXhe1pJ/s1600-h/DSC03646.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415528348908899842" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiW1jOXxWY1DJgv-_aQZMewqHclPhrl1BHxR4cHdasg5HKTGLH4iXLGlDktmenrlfjtXgTft2gNE5NVyICMuJ3bifxoiK8pWXauWMiRQilYMTQ01W9qnbCpisVlXcBlwNfqsKew5SXhe1pJ/s320/DSC03646.JPG" /></a><span style="color:#006600;">"Happy Holidays...Happy Holidays..While the merry bells are ringing..Happy Holidays to you!" This card was great too! This one was a little challenging though. This card had lots of steps. First we took green cardstock and made the background for our card. Then we folded up the bottom right corner into a triangle. We then used the eyelet setter to set our eyelet to hold the folded corner back. We then stamped the "verry merry" stamp into dark green and stamped it on the corner of the card. Then we cut a rectangle out of red cardstock and white cardstock. On the white cardstock we created "fake" stitching. We used this tool that poked holes around the edges. Then we took a green fine tip pen and traced around the holes creating the stitched look. We then took the happy holiday stamp and stamped it onto black ink and onto the white cardstock we fake stitched. We then took a red felt tip pen and colored in Happy. After coloring, we stamped the happy holidays stamp again and colored in only the tree. we then put tacky tape on top of the tree and cut around the triangle tree. We then peeled the top of the tacky tape and put clear micro-beads on top. We then used a pop-it to stick the embellished triangle on top of the plain triangle. We then colored in the star on top of the tree with a yellow fine tip pen. This was a difficult card to make but was so fun!</span> </div><div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihYCP1Ba3lZIIQwB5Tb6xs-ahr22DZOvjgwCeBpPs_ynX2ext7JOtSnZzVB55yN4TmVOR0zQCUCHoo2vR3XB4MIzeWV4lB3UFtFFCZaQA2JDDEJ-wh7pzQT2jBxApjNhmurRmCOK-mOwe-/s1600-h/DSC03644.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415528347841231730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihYCP1Ba3lZIIQwB5Tb6xs-ahr22DZOvjgwCeBpPs_ynX2ext7JOtSnZzVB55yN4TmVOR0zQCUCHoo2vR3XB4MIzeWV4lB3UFtFFCZaQA2JDDEJ-wh7pzQT2jBxApjNhmurRmCOK-mOwe-/s320/DSC03644.JPG" /></a><span style="color:#006600;">"We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year." This card was cute but also a little complicating to make. We first made our card out of white cardstock. Then cut a pinkish-red cardstock into a rectangle slightly smaller than the card. Towards the bottom in the center we stamped Merry Christmas in red ink. We then took lime green carstock and cut a rectangle out for the border behind the picture. After that we cut white cardstock slightly smaller than the green rectangle. We then stamped the setiment in red in and onto the left side of the small white rectangle. We then stamped the tree in green ink and wiped it off of the star and colored the star with yellow ink and stamped it beside the setiment. After that we tied a bow around the white cardstock rectangle using green ribbon. Then we glued the white rectangle on top of the green rectangle and attached it in the middle of the card near the top. This was probably the most complicated card to make that night but it turned out so pretty! :)</span></div></div>acraftyqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295525349467040171noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301877267113173102.post-76214623317263217352009-12-15T10:44:00.000-06:002009-12-15T11:56:31.493-06:00Roll Tide Platter<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim8Hk1dAU5FedPFgputLbEln7MEO96H1Kngsn8YsMEX_KNgtHjBHPHmg-_xolQ_qGRQJ4Sh1LDKyt5CPAHo5UdI9-UYJAh-WUhrc-WdayQI2qSODW9WMzZPlQwZ1e_tCK33RZgyovz86Lk/s1600-h/DSC03885.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415505613061278914" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEim8Hk1dAU5FedPFgputLbEln7MEO96H1Kngsn8YsMEX_KNgtHjBHPHmg-_xolQ_qGRQJ4Sh1LDKyt5CPAHo5UdI9-UYJAh-WUhrc-WdayQI2qSODW9WMzZPlQwZ1e_tCK33RZgyovz86Lk/s320/DSC03885.JPG" border="0" /></a> <span style="color:#990000;">Roooooolllll TIDE! This is the plate that I made for my friend Ashley for Christmas! I did alot of "semi-homemade" Christmas presents this year! It was so much more fun than buying something from the store. I think this was one of my favorite gifts to make. Ashley & her husband are big Alabama fans and their living room and dining room are all decked out with Daniel Moore Alabama portraits. So I thought this would fit right in! I bought the Roll Tide decal at the Delta Zeta Marketplace from <a href="http://simplystatedwalls.com/"><em>Simply Stated Walls</em></a><em>. </em>It is the same type of decal used on the "jingle all the way" mirror. I found the plate at Wal-Mart in the Christmas section for only $5! What a bargain. I cleaned the plate then peeled the backing off of the decal, centered it and etched it onto the plate. The most amazing thing about this plate is that it can be used as decoration or to serve food on because the decal is dishwasher safe! :) Two-for-one! I bought the black plate stand at Micheals using a coupon, of course! I thought it turned out looking great! I now want to make myself one!</span><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuoEI421DvSGfhZdj8VCKwP391WqGQTZZhgiWcgN8q4U9bDXDl5fFcUeNzj3is-90Q2WhzdqWle-aLzKwLQgwGWmoy8_TIiRP08P9R9JQMp3e4nH9qWCZ4puoJVkBa-ah42H470FHLClLO/s1600-h/DSC03887.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415505610326330994" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuoEI421DvSGfhZdj8VCKwP391WqGQTZZhgiWcgN8q4U9bDXDl5fFcUeNzj3is-90Q2WhzdqWle-aLzKwLQgwGWmoy8_TIiRP08P9R9JQMp3e4nH9qWCZ4puoJVkBa-ah42H470FHLClLO/s320/DSC03887.JPG" border="0" /></a> <span style="color:#990000;">Ashley was so excited when she opened up the plate! She loved it! I can't wait for next football season to roll around so we can bake Alabama cupcakes and serve them on her new platter!! :)</span><br /><br /><div></div></div>acraftyqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295525349467040171noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301877267113173102.post-47371674374493838592009-12-15T10:08:00.000-06:002009-12-15T10:15:31.623-06:00"Jingle all the Way"<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFC6hmxyUIS-KSUqb7RdC5jpOUMbtpZN-iPoc6i48NrVxLw8y3_1O_-mimYrrkJWHh-sF1NCRlx7Eq8n4Y3bkRv001q8Q1FQf_vUgZ4FHnapf2kZmmR5hAOKu28vyXD6WwtyVNjuuiKrIN/s1600-h/DSC03921.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415495895635653922" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFC6hmxyUIS-KSUqb7RdC5jpOUMbtpZN-iPoc6i48NrVxLw8y3_1O_-mimYrrkJWHh-sF1NCRlx7Eq8n4Y3bkRv001q8Q1FQf_vUgZ4FHnapf2kZmmR5hAOKu28vyXD6WwtyVNjuuiKrIN/s320/DSC03921.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><span style="color:#990000;">"Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle All the Way..." I just love this time of year! Especially since it's gift giving season...which means I get to be CRAFTY! This however, I cannot take credit for. The idea for it was developed by my friend Kim Parker. She is a Stampin' Up consultant, good friend of my moms and neighbor. She is so creative. We made these Jingle All the Way mirrors at her November stamp camp. Mom went with me this time. She made one but with a gold frame. It looks great as well. Very "Christmassy looking." These were so easy to create. Kim had purchased the decal from Stampin' Up. It is in their decor selection. All we did was unwrap the mirrors, clean the mirror part then peel the backing off of our decal and etch it onto the mirror! It was so simple and easy. I now have a new love for these decor' decals! </span></div>acraftyqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295525349467040171noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2301877267113173102.post-20844773974117952412009-12-13T22:55:00.001-06:002009-12-15T21:24:51.710-06:00My man..<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwuEfLdEr6lRnd-pJcb9G0KabBt9ANWoS5q8nz3d8sYJb0qqgPZdJJnTHalmVv_gs-nmrTKQSY_pvhZZHLHOrFKqdk9KzlTMaOH4LZ-9O3vB_QPB6_a3EsFGl688_HdWzXhk-iM1mBYwdn/s1600-h/DSC03854.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5414951415825026866" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwuEfLdEr6lRnd-pJcb9G0KabBt9ANWoS5q8nz3d8sYJb0qqgPZdJJnTHalmVv_gs-nmrTKQSY_pvhZZHLHOrFKqdk9KzlTMaOH4LZ-9O3vB_QPB6_a3EsFGl688_HdWzXhk-iM1mBYwdn/s320/DSC03854.JPG" /></a> <span style="color:#006600;">I know this has nothing to do with my "craftiness" but this is my wonderful boyfriend Chris. Can we say I'm a little behind in my scrapbook blogging? Hello, it's now 3 years later..and Christmas is quickly approaching. Ah! My favorite time of year. This particular year the Abel family and I tackled the challenging task of creating Gingerbread houses. There were tables upon tables of candy and edible decorations and a competition of 3 couples. This brought back wonderful memories of when my grandma Chris and I would make a gingerbread house every Christmas. Everyone's houses turned out great! </span><br /><br /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413101817945901426" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhud4hrn_x9HSj684mAz9ADNKbEJgTbgiCGpLsM26wDdxFo8q306tVbREi2rpN6QJDDhKLPc5l4afg0UvjkU5uarhZxGaL3a5LbpjoQ8Ge3z6mtk8b0pAajIN-x2YqlvVSzG-4PJDNiT-L2/s320/DSC03764.JPG" /><span style="color:#cc0000;">This layout ended up being 3 pages. It was fun to create though. I think this first page is my favorite. For the background paper, I got the Christmas polka dot paper at Hobby Lobby. I used the matching solid red and green paper as border to my pictures. The 3D gingerbread house was purchased on Ebay. It's a Jolee's boutique Christmas embellishment. The gingerbread man or "Gingy" as I call him was also purchased at Hobby Lobby. I then took my glitter pens and made him all glittery! He needed to come to life! The candy canes beside Gingy are stickers from Hobby Lobby as well. I cut the title out using my Cricut and brown paper.</span> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413101100709984866" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeRgTTu1IPyCP970tyFur4CqPE8riFg34bGJNZ-Rz1l2VLtwFMW2egq1lHlp4i8doqkQpN0VtUbcmLrDm4NYvQLahNXHNRCpSufaMDdS-mu1lSjRX3QIYQYGwIAF3Y8i9jeQ04ChpfbKuW/s320/DSC03765.JPG" /> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413101542087488946" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtWCZWURg7k3nX1yZE0dF9RDOPut92Vr1wTWkkeWYkAuXq768JCB1aGc1nAjEm0xDoi9UV5-tJzcjTRI_UxeCb7qii643giTeBOviOXTE47ram_mVtUrv60hKAqHdwt4qYXAMVvmmQdJON/s320/DSC03767.JPG" /> <p align="center"><br /><span style="color:#cc0000;">Merry Christmas! :)</span><br /><br /><br /></p><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span>acraftyqueenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13295525349467040171noreply@blogger.com0
