Gifts Galore!

This is another one of the Lott's To Scrap About layouts. I just can't express how much I love this company's layouts. This layout is probably one of my favorite purchases. It mached my pictures fabulously! I will say...this layout was a booger to put together. It had a alot of tedious cutting and gluing. Therefore, it took a while to put together. I was so please with the final product though! Well worth my time. :)

Dear Santa

This layout is one that I bought from one of my new favorite places Lotts To Scrap About. They have some of the best 2 page layouts at a GREAT price. It would cost me more to go buy the materials and cut everything out myself. I have purchased several layouts from them over the past few months. This is one of the layouts I ordered over Christmas. It's called "Dear Santa." I bought it because I loved the Santa on it!
The layout comes pre-cut. The only thing you have to do is assemble it. What I love the most is that it comes with step by step instructions WITH A FULL COLOR FINISHED LAYOUT GUIDE. Yes, the capitol letters mean I am exicted. I can't express how essential and great that is when putting all the pieces together. The layout matched my pictures of Christmas morning with the Malones/Ancells wonderfully. :)

Ashley's 21st Birthday

For my best friend Ashley's 21st Birthday we celebrated by having a scrapbook day and eating dinner at Rosie's Cantina. Rosie's has become one of our staple restaurants. We love it! This layout was fun to create. After I got my pictures developed, I went to Hobby Lobby to find coordinating paper and stickers. I ended up buying the birthday ribbon paper which I used for the background. I then bought purple and yellow cardstock to bring out the colors in the background paper and that Ashley was wearing. I found the stickers at Hobby Lobby as well. They are Paper Studios Cardstock stickers (one of my favorites). I bordered the pictures and stickers with the yellow and purple cardstock. I used my Cricut to cut out the lettering. This is one of Ashley's new font cartridges. Love it.
Happy 21st Birthday!

Life Lately

I noticed that I hadn't updated in a while. Here's why. My crafting time has been subsided, sadly to say. Life has quickly become a whirl wind being a full time student, student teacher, girlfriend, daughter and friend. I didn't realized how busy and fast life could really get. Here's why I haven't posted anything in a while or in a good minute (as Chris would say).
Reason #1- Being a supportive girlfriend. Going to hear the DFree band play at gigs in Alabama. They're coming out with a new EP soon, check them out.
Reason #2: Being a full time student who is finally doing her student teaching. Kindergarteners 5 days a week for 8 hours a day = lots of fun but with lots of hard work/planning.
Yes...we planted our own plants. We call them our "plant people." They get haircuts next week! :)

Reason #3: Being a full time friend. Throwing showers & hosting parties for my engaged girls, Casey & Callie. Successful shower number 2 of my hostess career.
As you can see, life's been pretty busy and continues to get busier each day. Sometimes I wonder if it will ever slow down. Even though I know it won't. It just goes by faster and faster as you get older. However, I love this crazy, busy life!

4th of July 2008

Happy 4th of July! I can't believe this was 2 years ago now. It's become somewhat of a family tradition for Mom, Dad & I to go to the Huntsville Stars 4th of July baseball game. This layout was a ton of fun to put together and wound up being my favorite I created that day. I actually got the layout idea online. However, I had to tweek it a little to make it fit my pictures. I used navy cardstock as the background paper. This paper was purchased at the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbooking Convention in Nashville. I then added the fireworks paper to the top & bottom half of the page. This paper came out of a holiday paper pack purchased at Hobby Lobby. As a border to the pictures I first used star patterned paper out of the same paper pack then solid white cardstock. The stickers are PaperStudio Cardstock 4th of July themed stickers, purchased at Hobby Lobby. To finish the page off I placed the stickers accordingly.

I set up the 2nd page of the layout the same way I did the first page. However, I did some journaling on this page. After I placed the stickers around the page, I cut out a white piece of cardstock just big enough to fit in between the pictures & sticker. :)
